EmpowHER
EmpowHER is an inner (personal development) and outer (venture development) 6-month dual track program for early-stage female changemakers in Switzerland.
The program was run in 2021, in partnership with Arcas Foundation, Impact Hub Zurich and Thrive with Mentoring, and supported 11 women founders in the process of creating sustainable and thriving businesses with the purpose to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) locally or globally.
Benefits for participating startups
The founders received support through coaching, mentorship, pro-bono services, and access to entrepreneurship infrastructure. Some impressions (from participants)
Impressions of the programme
“I feel that my project is more real and more accessible, and that there is support available via this community, via experts and coaches/mentors and that action is the most important. Also, making this concept more tangible in how to start and approach it in the early stages, thanks to my mentor largely, has been very valuable.”
“I started speaking to different people, to further proceed with the business however in different form, to get over my own fear.”
