SDGs in Action Film Festival

Are you involved in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where you live? Can you film it, animate it or otherwise tell that story in a video? The SDGs in Action Film Festival, coordinated by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Division for SDGs, seeks short films that highlight how people and organizations around the world are taking action for the 17 global goals. The Festival was launched in 2018 in connection with the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development that takes place each July at UN Headquarters in New York. The competition offers amateur filmmakers around the globe the chance to submit animated or live-action films up to 20 minutes long that showcase a person or project working on tangible solutions to the world’s biggest threats and making the SDGs our reality. Call For Innovations To Stop The Plastic Crisis

In order to accelerate the search for solutions, The Klosters Forum in partnership with Think Beyond Plastic are launching The TKF Plastics Innovation Challenge 2019 to engage innovators around the world in a solutions-oriented effort to stem the flow of plastics into our ocean. They are looking for innovations at any stage with proven and demonstrated capacity to scale. Three winners will each receive a prize valued at USD40,000, comprised of non-repayable USD25,000 funding and a place in the 2019 Think Beyond Plastic accelerator class valued at USD15,000. All applicants, winners or not, receive feedback from the reviewers. The feedback indicates why they have been selected to continue or not and is intended to foster and guide their interest in solutions to plastic pollution.
