Innovators for Children an annual acceleration program dedicated to early-stage technology solutions that have a positive impact on the education, health and well-being of children and adolescents. The program is jointly implemented by Impact Hub Basel and Impact Hub Bucharest with support from Fondation Botnar and the Vodafone Romania Foundation. Aiming to deliver impact at scale, the program focuses in particular on technological innovations, high-leverage products or services, and systemic solutions. By providing training, mentoring, funding and connections into local and international entrepreneurial communities, the program accelerates impactful and innovative solutions that help change the future for children.

AutismON – A platform which makes previously offline-only therapies for autistic children and adolescents available online.

Brio – Aptitude tests which help children and adolescents prepare for and improve their performance in exams, regardless of their current educational environment.

Emoface – Interactive avatars to help autistic children and adolescents recognise and learn emotions and develop social skills.

#KIDoc – An app to help parents and caregivers improve care for children and adolescents with chronic conditions, initially focusing on epilepsy.

Peditel – A child-focused telemedicine solution aiming to improve access to healthcare.

ARici – Augmented Reality (AR) learning aids for primary school children.

JSKids – A web and mobile game for children and adolescents to develop web programming skills (JavaScript).

Parentool – Curated content, advice, and tools to help with child health and development.

REThink – A therapeutic game to help children and adolescents overcome anxiety and depression.

Tactile Images – A virtual assistant helping blind children and adolescents use tactile boards to learn and integrate socially.

Univrse – Bringing the school curriculum to life with immersive and interactive Virtual Reality classrooms.

Arttachment is an app-based guide for parents to help them support the emotional, social and cognitive development of their children.

Citizen Next have developed an app, parinte.eu, which educates parents and carers about vaccinations and helps them to adhere to officially approved vaccination plans for their children.

KinetoBebe is a micro-learning platform for physiotherapists and parents to improve the quality of kinetotherapy, psychology and speech therapy for children, thereby supporting faster and more efficient recovery.

Kinderpedia is a platform which optimizes education management, saving time spent on administration and enabling educators and parents to better plan, communicate and track child progress.

Auttie App is a virtual assistant helping children with speech problems improve and develop their vocabulary, through augmented reality (AR) with 3D objects and Text-to-Speech algorithms.

EduMarket is an online platform that promotes courses, workshops and children’s camps.

InovEd offers online courses for teachers and parents related to child psychology and neuro-science education, aiming at emotional, physical and cognitive development.

iVra – immersive virtual reality in autism is a therapeutic technique applied to children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders by reproducing and simulating hyperstimulation scenarios.

Living Robotics proposes solutions in the field of medical robotics (upper and lower electrically powered lower legs for people with disabilities) accessible to any social category.

Timlogo is a logopedic digital speech therapy platform with a high degree of interactivity and language training that directly helps children with speech, exercise speech and speech recognition.

UberPixel-Nummo is a Romanian speech therapy application for children with a cochlear implant.

Wello platform is based on artificial intelligence dedicated to children with weight problems and their families.
