Impact Day

A celebration of Social Innovation & Sustainable Entrepreneurship

One day to focus on our communities’ social innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship!

It’s been over a year since we opened our doors, and we want to celebrate this milestone with you. We would not be where we are today without you, our community – our supportive partners, creative member and everyone around us!

We have achieved so much together with our local and intercontinental activities, and we would like to show to you what those activities were and still are and how you can get involved to support our efforts contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. Because we are indeed #StrongerTogether!

Join us for this Open Day to discover your local Impact Hub!

Whether you are looking for new ways to make a positive impact on our world, whether you want to meet inspiring people, or just want to know what our purpose as a so-called Impact Hub is, this day will answer your questions.

This session is dedicated to entrepreneurs, leaders, team members and organizations who care about their purpose and their impact on the world.

Many decisions we are making are based on cultural codes, unspoken norms and common ‘best practices’. These are perpetuating patterns which might have served us very well in the past. But now that the context has shifted, they might be hindering us while we strive to build purposeful and impactful organizations.

With the first-hand experience and support of our member Patrick Scheuerer, Xpreneurs, we will look into which work settings are supportive of our individual and collective impact.

Agenda

  • Input Session by Patrick Scheurer
  • Breakout groups for a collective inquiry, looking at
    • What are the mindset and management practices we experienced, that are supporting or impeding our desired way of working?
    • What are the legal structures that can help us achieve our goals?

Many people think they have to be an actor or funny to do improv. While being funny is nice, it’s more about listening and reacting.

Improv is more than a skill for performers. It’s an excellent way to: gain self-confidence, improve public speaking and writing skills, learn to think on your feet, open yourself to new ways of looking at things, become a better listener, bring more laughter into your life. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to play!

Have you ever wondered how you could become a more conscious consumer, doing more and better with less?

The Sustainable Development Goal 12 encourages us to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation, to increase resource efficiency and to promote a sustainable lifestyle.

If we want to embody those values in a practical way, we have to start by changing our relationship to our belongings and adopting a more responsible consumption.

Our community member Nathalie Gehrold, decluttering coach, will lead us through a session to examine our behaviours of consumption.

In this event, you will

  • Uncover the seven blockages that prevent us from decluttering
  • Learn about the ONE root cause that is hidden behind them
  • Get conscious about what pushes us to accumulate
  • Discover the four pillars to build an ecological relationship to our belongings
  • Take our first steps together to get rid of our overflow right during the session

Agenda

  • Presentation
  • Decluttering exercise
