Basel Entrepreneurship Gala 2021

There was a lot to celebrate on the 12th November 2021! On the one hand, the Impact Hub Basel celebrated its two-year anniversary and on the other, the Global Entrepreneurship Week Organizing Committee Basel hosted the first Basel Entrepreneurship Gala as the grand finale of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week. 

Together with illustrious guests, a motivational speech by Martin Stricker, Standortförderung, AWA, Kanton Basel-Stadt, a laudation by Impact Hub Basel Co-Founder Hanna Byland, music performances by Carolina Müller, a speed networking session by Dorotea Ganser and Rahel Gerber, wonderful food by Café spurlos and a drink or two by Gradlon Von Kaenel.

Douglas Haggstrom and Mohamed Hussien BSc, MSc, PhD presented to GEW InqPrize —> the winner is Aseptuva GmbH! 🏆Congratulations Henry Twerenbold & Team.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Basel – A Success Story Continues

In Basel alone, this year’s highlights were chasing each other. With the motto “Moving Entrepreneurs Forward, Together“, the organizing committee organized a series of events, which this year again brought hundreds of interested guests closer to entrepreneurship, enabled new contacts and initiated project ideas. 

A few examples: 
Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop: With exciting keynotes, the youngsters were able to learn what it entails to build an independent business.  
 
Digital Leadership – DigitalBasel explored the question of why good communicators will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Roche launched the Future Pharma Initiative together with Xircles and GEN Switzerland (Global Entrepreneurship Network). Together with decision-makers and key stakeholders from industry, academia, civil society, government, and media, we are creating a unifying initiative with one central goal: From Sickcare to Healthcare

Toolbox – Building with No-Code Projects by University of Basel and Innosuisse: During this session, the participants learned how to build tech products and services without prior experience or knowledge.
